Recommended Adult Dosing

Dosage forms:  CAP: 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, 400 mg

Osteoarthritis

[200 mg PO qd]
Alt: 100 mg PO bid; Info: use lowest effective dose, shortest effective tx duration; consider starting at 50% of lowest dose if poor CYP2C9 metabolizer; give w/ food if GI upset occurs

Rheumatoid arthritis

[100-200 mg PO bid]
Info: use lowest effective dose, shortest effective tx duration; consider starting at 50% of lowest dose if poor CYP2C9 metabolizer; give w/ food if GI upset occurs

Ankylosing spondylitis

[200 mg PO qd]
Max: 400 mg/day; Alt: 100 mg PO bid; Info: use lowest effective dose, shortest effective tx duration; may increase dose to 400 mg/day if no response after 6wk; consider D/C if no response to max dose after 6wk; consider starting at 50% of lowest dose if poor CYP2C9 metabolizer; give w/ food if GI upset occurs

Dysmenorrhea

[2 yo and older, >25 kg]
Dose: 100 mg PO bid; Info: use lowest effective dose, shortest effective tx duration; consider alternative tx if poor CYP2C9 metabolizer; give w/ food if GI upset occurs
