Recommended Adult Dosing

Dosage forms:  CAP: 250 mg

Pheochromocytoma

[2-3 g/day PO in divided doses]

Start: 250 mg PO qid, may incr. by 250-500 mg/day; Max: 4 g/day in divided doses; Info: maintain urine output >2 L/day; titrate dose based on BP, catecholamine excretion; may consider adding alpha-adrenergic blocker if inadequate response; for preop use, achieve effective dose >5-7 days before surgery
